About John Capper

Supervisor, Theologian, Educator, Director

My Learning Journey

After working for Shell, I studied at Ridley College Melbourne and served in rural ministry in NW New South Wales. Whilst there I learned to love the bush, and studied philosophy and Australian history.

A call to serve as Principal of the Church Army College of Evangelism took Wendy and me with our growing young family to Sydney. This led to further studies in education and management.

1993 saw us, now with four daughters, move to Cambridge where I completed my doctorate with supervision from the Regius Professor, David Ford.

Our return found me teaching in various colleges in Sydney, then a move to Melbourne where I worked with Tabor College, the United Faculty of Theology, the University of Divinity and Stirling College.

Along the way I have been a member and occasional chair of more than twenty boards. It is a part of life I have found challenging and enriching.

My ongoing vocational focus is towards educational consultancy and professional supervision.
